People were still hopeful that the foundation stone of AIIMS could finally be laid in September, but as of now, the date for laying the foundation stone is tentatively set for November. Union Minister of State Rao Indrajit Singh said that some processes are still pending before construction can begin. So it is expected that Prime Minister can lay the foundation stone of Rewari AIIMS in November.

We tell you that AIIMS is proposed to be built at Valkhi Majra village near Rewari-Narnaul highway. The foundation stone of AIIMS was not laid for a long time due to various reasons. AIIMS in Rewari was first announced by the Chief Minister during the 2015 Bawal rally. Ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Prime Minister also approved AIIMS in Rewari but till date the foundation stone of AIIMS has not been laid.

Rao Indrajit’s big event on 23rd September
Recently, local MP and Union Minister of State Rao Indrajit Singh met the Prime Minister and sought time to lay the foundation stone of Rewari AIIMS on September 23. Because martyr Rao Tularam’s sacrifice on 23rd September is observed as Martyr’s Day. Rao Indrajit Singh was going to organize a big event on 23 September. People are also hopeful that the foundation stone of AIIMS will be laid this time without a new date. But then the foundation stone laying ceremony was postponed to November.

What is the reason for the delay in laying the foundation stone?
Union Minister of State Rao Indrajit Singh said that the tender for the construction of AIIMS has been floated on September 10. It takes 45 days to award the tender. So the Prime Minister can lay the foundation stone of AIIMS in November. He said that they do not want to stop the work after laying the foundation stone, so the foundation stone will be laid only after the tender process is over, so that the construction work can start immediately.
