Barmer and surrounding countryside will be without electricity for two days, know the reason
Manmohan Seju/ of Baram. Discoms will remain closed for two days along the Baram border in western Rajasthan. Due to shifting of line near Medical College, Baram, 132 KV Baram Shiv line and 400 KV Baram interconnecting line originating from GSS will remain closed.
Discoms went black for two days in nearby rural areas, including the border town of Barmer in western Rajasthan. Besides, power supply will also be cut off in posh colonies of Baram city. Power supply has been disrupted due to downed power line near Medical College, Baram. Feeders connected to 132 KV Baram Shiva line and 400 KV Baram interconnector line emanating from GSS will remain closed for two days on Friday and Saturday.
According to Executive Engineer Rajendra Kumar Soni, there will be power cut for two consecutive days due to the shifting work of the line passing near Baram Medical College. 132 KV Baram Shiv line and 400 KV Baram Interconnector line originating from GSS will remain closed. He said that the lamp will be off from 9 am on Friday to 7 pm on Saturday. Under this 132 KV GSS Shiv, Undu, Kanod, Jhinjhniali villages will also be affected.
Apart from rural areas, power supply was disrupted in posh colonies of Barmer city. Similarly, light supply to 33 KV Barmer City and Mahavir Nagar feeders will remain off. Light supply of city feeder will be off from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM and light supply of Mahavir Nagar feeder will be off from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
