Nari Shakti Bandan Act heralds India’s new democratic promise: PM Modi
New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at the BJP headquarters that the ‘Nari Shakti Bandan Act’ is not a simple law, it is a declaration of a new democratic promise for a new India. He said, today I congratulate every mother, sister and daughter of the country. Yesterday and yesterday we all saw a new history being made and we are all lucky that millions of people have given us the opportunity to make this history. This decision and this day will be discussed for many generations to come. Prime Minister Modi said that I congratulate the entire country for passing the ‘Nari Shakti Bandan Act’ with an absolute majority in both the Houses of Parliament. Sometimes a decision has the power to change the destiny of a country. We have all witnessed such a decision.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the dream that the country was waiting for for the last few decades has now come true. Today every woman’s confidence is sky high. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this is a step towards building a better India through the efforts of all at Amritkal. The BJP had been pushing for this law for three decades for women’s participation in democracy. This was our commitment. We have shown it completely. To improve India, today India is giving open space to women power. Today the country is removing every obstacle that mothers, sisters and daughters face. In the last 9 years we have tried to break every restriction related to mother-sister.

The passage of the Women’s Shakti Bandan Act in both Houses is also a proof that the country takes big decisions and crosses major milestones when there is a stable government with full majority. If there is a stable government with absolute majority, ‘Nari Shakti Bandan Act’ has become a reality. This Act has once again proved that a strong and decisive government with an absolute majority is very necessary to move the country forward.
