Periyar used to wear tilak… Kamal Haasan defends Udayanidhi Stalin’s ‘traditional’ speech like this

Kamal Haasan has defended Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son Udayanidhi Stalin’s controversial statement on Sanatan. Kamal Haasan, who entered politics after the movie, said, ‘A young man is being targeted for making a statement about Sanatan’. Kamal Haasan also said, ‘We all got to know about Sanatan from Periyar…’

Kamal Haasan said, Udayanidhi Stalin’s ancestors spoke a lot about Sanatan. In particular, Periyar has a lot to say about Sanatana. Periyar sometimes worshiped at the temple in Benares and also applied Tilak on his forehead. Imagine how much anger was in him that he left all this and engaged in social service till his last breath.

Hasan said, ‘Now neither the DMK nor any other party can claim or claim Periyar as their own. The whole of Tamil Nadu considers Periyar as its own and follows his principles.
