Schedule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Varanasi today, where he will lay the foundation stone of an international cricket stadium. Besides, he will also inaugurate 16 Atal residential schools across Uttar Pradesh, built at a cost of around Rs 1,115 crore. During his one-day visit, Prime Minister Modi will also attend the closing ceremony of the Kashi Sangsad Cultural Festival 2023. Around 1.30 pm, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of the cricket stadium built on a 30-acre site at a cost of around Rs 450 crore.
According to a statement, the architectural inspiration of this stadium is taken from Lord Shiva. It has a crescent shaped roof covering, trident shaped flood lights and seating designed like a ghat ladder. The capacity of this stadium will be 30 thousand spectators. At around 3:15 pm, Prime Minister Modi will reach the Rudraksha International Cooperation and Conference Center and participate in the closing ceremony of the Kashi Sangsad Cultural Festival 2023.
On this occasion, Modi will inaugurate sixteen Atal residential schools across Uttar Pradesh. These schools have been opened especially for the children of labourers, construction workers and orphans due to the coronavirus pandemic. Each school is built on 10-15 acres of land. There are classrooms, playgrounds, recreation areas, a mini auditorium, hostel complex, mess and residential flats for staff. Government sources said each of these residential schools is intended to eventually house 1,000 students.
