Brother and sister killed, grandparents injured in mud house collapse at 2 am

Barabanki A mud house suddenly collapsed around 2 am in Barabanki district, adjacent to capital Lucknow. Two children died after being buried under the rubble of the house. An elderly couple was seriously injured. The news of the accident spread in the village. On reaching the spot, the villagers quickly removed the debris from the house and brought everyone out. Two children died while removing the debris. The injured elderly couple rescued from the rubble have been taken to hospital for treatment. Seeing that the condition of the old man is serious, the doctors have sent him to the district hospital for treatment.

The accident took place in Kirsia village of Subeha police station in Barabanki district. The mud house of Mohammad Sameer, a resident of this village, suddenly collapsed around 2 o’clock on Sunday. As soon as the news of the house collapse came, there was a sensation in the village. Villagers quickly gathered at the scene. The villagers removed the debris from the house after hard work. Mohammad Sameer’s 9-year-old son Fian and 6-year-old daughter Samaira died while removing the debris. Mohammad Sameer’s 65-year-old father Mohammad Halim and 60-year-old mother Nariman were injured after coming out of the rubble. When the villagers took the injured elderly couple to the Hyderabad Community Health Center for treatment, the doctors found Mohammed Halim’s condition serious and referred him to the district hospital for treatment.

The mother sustained minor injuries and is undergoing treatment at CSC. The police and tehsil administration reached the spot after receiving information about the accident. The police recovered the bodies of the two children and sent them for post-mortem.
