Digha is shying away from giving any ‘chance’ to Mokha, preparations are going on in full swing

Width: The pressure was on. The cyclonic low pressure eventually intensified into a deep depression. Finally Cyclone Mocha was born in the Bay of Bengal. This morning the very deep low pressure has increased in strength and intensified into a cyclone. Though no major disaster is forecast for Bengal, a strong campaign has already started in the coastal areas of Bengal to avoid the cyclone.

NDRF team landed in Digha. Mokha storm warning has already been issued by the administration for all the coastal areas. NDRF team is doing warning campaign by using mike. The cyclone is expected to make landfall south of Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh on 12th and 13th. However, as an advance warning, the district administration has banned the entry of all tourists coming to Digha into the sea. For these two days, fishermen have been banned from going to sea.

It may be known that the expedition team of the Disaster Response Team will tour the coastal villages and do miking. Thirty-six NDRF personnel from three groups have been evacuated. Meanwhile, the heat has again increased in Bengal in the last few days. Many people rush to Digha-Mandarmani to escape the heat. Dighat is now crowded with tourists. Meanwhile, the forecast of the wind office said that the current location of the cyclone is about 1100 km from Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh. Mokha will turn into a severe cyclone by tomorrow morning. Then proceed towards the Bangladesh-Myanmar coast. A cyclonic storm will develop south of Cox’s Bazar on Sunday afternoon. Wind gusts can reach up to 175 km/h during landfall. There is only one good news, there will be no direct impact of Mokha in Bengal.
