Kolkata: End of speculation! The central BJP leadership is not canceling the Bengal tour. BJP’s All India President JP Nadda is coming to the state after the party’s National Working Committee meeting. State BJP President Sukant Majumdar made this clear in a press conference in Kolkata on Thursday. Not only JP Nadda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah will also visit the state after him, Sukanta Majumdar said.

On this day, Sukanta Majumdar held a press conference at the BJP’s state headquarters in Kolkata. At the same time, he said that JP Nadda is coming to the state on January 19, Thursday. After this Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the state. In other words, the rumors about the cancellation of the Bengal tour by the central BJP leadership were practically dismissed by the state BJP president.

Incidentally, it was initially learned from BJP sources that BJP All India President JP Nadda would visit the state on January 7 and 8. Only then it was heard that Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit the state on January 17. It was also reported through BJP sources that the Prime Minister may hold a meeting in Siliguri. But recently that program has been cancelled. Basically, BJP sources had initially said that the Prime Minister, the Home Minister and top BJP leaders are visiting Bengal to get a bird’s-eye view of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and to give a ‘vocal tonic’ to the party workers. Then the reason for the sudden cancellation of the program was not clearly told by the party, but it was learned that there is a meeting of BJP’s national program in Delhi. BJP’s National Working Committee meeting will be held in Delhi on 16 and 17 January. It is being speculated by a section of political circles that because of this the visit of Prime Minister, Home Minister to Bengal along with Nadda has been cancelled.

BJP spokesperson Shamik Bhattacharya had earlier said that though the Prime Minister, the Home Minister and the BJP’s All India President’s visit to Bengal and their programs in the state have not been cancelled, only postponed. He also said that the new timing will be announced later. State BJP president announced the date of JP Nadda’s Bengal tour on behalf of the party. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah would also visit the state soon.
