At the request of Raivya Muni, Lord Vishnu resides in this temple named Hrishikesh. On the occasion of Vasant Panchami, Hindu saint Shankaracharya re-installed the idol of the main deity in this temple in Rishikesh. After that, a grand procession is organized here every Basant Panchami. Also, on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, Lord Narayana’s feet are seen, due to which a grand aarti is organized and thronged by devotees on this festival.

Purohit Dharmananda said that Akshay Tritiya will be celebrated on May 10 this year. Lord Vishnu’s feet are seen every year on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, which is seen only once in a year. After that, the doors of Char Dham opened. The temple is crowded on this day. Thousands of devotees gather here on this day. It is believed that anyone who visits and circumambulates this temple on this day, gets all his wishes fulfilled.
