A 32-year-old divorcee filed a case against Dr. Pankaj Gupta, director of Pribgaum Baby Center in Alwar district, at Kotwali police station, for buying her womb for Rs 3 lakh and keeping her hostage. After the incident of surrogate mother came to light, there was a stir in Aloyar. To repay the loan, the woman traded her womb for 9 months for Rs 3 lakh. She reached Alwar from Jharkhand to give birth to her child. The woman reached Dr. Pankaj Gupta’s center on 23 August 2023. He was living here since then.

The woman complained that when she did not get pregnant, the eggs were removed from her womb. More women from different states including Jharkhand, Bihar have come to Alwar to donate eggs, the woman claims. According to the victim, no action has been taken yet despite her complaint being lodged. The victim said she agreed to be a surrogate mother because she needed money.

The victim alleged that Dr. Pankaj Gupta made a deal for Rs 3 lakh to become a surrogate mother and kept her hostage in the hospital continuously. Her eggs are taken and used elsewhere. If she is not pregnant, she is threatened with hostages without payment. He appealed to the police for security.

In this whole matter Dr. Pankaj Gupta said that the woman who made the complaint had come to see him on August 23. Then he asked for a place to stay. As a humanitarian gesture, he was given a room for one night. But he started living there. The room was not emptying. He also helped him financially. But now he wants to get money by blackmail.
