214 students have received job offers before being recruited here, with packages of over Rs 1 crore

Engineering College Placement: Whereas in most college universities, students wait for placement to get a job. At the same time, even before placement in an institute, i.e. in pre-placement, job offers have started coming to students. Some students have been given packages of more than Rs 1 crore. This institute is Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Guwahati. A pre-placement drive was organized here recently. It is noteworthy that pre-placement is where students get job offers while studying.

A media report quoting the head of career development at IIT Guwahati said that this year companies offered jobs to 214 students under pre-placement. However, this is slightly less than last year, as in 2022, 218 students received job offers in PPO.

Students also get handsome packages on pre-placement at IIT Guwahati. According to the report, 500 students have been given packages worth more than Rs 1 crore. A student has received a maximum offer of Rs 1.10 crore. Big companies from all over the world have made offers. These include Microsoft, P&G, Oracle, JGMC, American Express and many other companies. According to statistics, there has been a 10 percent increase in PPOs in various IITs this year.
