Police identified him as Noor Un Latif Nabi alias Maxon, but his neighbors in Baranagar area knew him as Tamal Roy Chowdhary. He was arrested by the police a few months back. Later he got bail. The neighbors had no idea of his crime until he was arrested.
Tamal Roy Chowdhury, a Bangladeshi national, was a resident of a residence in North Park, Baranagar. He lived there with a woman named Arpita. Everyone knew her as the wife of Tamal. There were occasional quarrels with his wife, and no one had ever seen Tamal do anything more suspicious. He started the fish business.
Lakshmi Ghosh used to work as a maid in his flat. He said that the use of tamale is very good. Neither Tamal nor his wife treated him like a servant, treating him as the man of the house. Tamal had been living with a woman named Arpita ever since he was discharged from the hospital in April. The police came to know that the youth was running in depression for some time. Police suspect that he committed suicide on Tuesday when no one was at home. The incident is under investigation. The police also came to know that the youth was addicted to drugs.
